We use CAD and PADS / INNOVEDA Suite of Software in all aspects of the design process from electrical and mechanical draughting to PCB artwork design and circuit simulation.

DIGITAL DESIGN

Experience of embedded microcontroller systems and logic
implementation using FPGA and CPLD technologies enables us to
produce.leading.edge.digital.designs.which.are.both technologically
advanced and cost effective. Our in-house design tools support
amongst.others,.Xilinx,.Lattice,.Vantis,.Philips,.ST Microelectronics,
PIC and Siemens. Full digital design simulation is possible and
combined with the advantages of using programmable logic, rework
and modifications are greatly simplified and result in reduced costs
and lead times.

PCB DESIGN

Printed Circuit Board Design. We can design printed circuit board layouts using several of the latest CAD tools and PADS / INNOVEDA Suite of Software. Our PCB layout experience ranges from super high precision low noise analogue designs to high speed digital multilayer designs.
This in-house capability enables us to integrate the circuit design
and PCB layout processes and provide a seamless design cycle.

MECHANICAL DESIGN

Although we don't claim to be mechanical designers, we are able to
produce engineering drawings for such things as enclosures,
assemblies and simple mechanical components as would be
required by many projects. This includes such things as general
assembly, wiring, panel engineering and silk screen legends
drawings etc. We exclusively use AutoCad for all mechanical
drawing. For more ambitious mechanical projects we are able to call
upon the services of expert mechanical design consultants.

DOCUMENTATION DELIVERABLES

Documentation.is.produced.in.accordance.with.customer requirements, using customer supplied Templates if required. For Mechanical; Schematic and PCB, DxF is the most universally accepted format; however HPGL is a reasonable alternative.
All Documentation must be checked and 'Signed off' as correct by the customer. This may be typed in the Drawing / Data, or a database entry, as required.

A typical documentation set might be:

  • Schematic.
  • PCB Mechanical drawing.
  • PCB Panel drawing - if required.
  • Gerber data.
  • Netlist.
  • Placement Data.
  • Assembly drawing.
